Does anyone know if there's a FPOC Register for the District of Columbia, from 1840 to 1860? If so, where can I find it in DC? I am looking for information on William H. Simons, my 3rd great-grandfather,and his father and mother. I found William and his wife, Eliza Thompson, on a 1850 marriage record and the 1860 census with her and their children. But I haven't been able to find any information on him either before 1850 or after 1860.

Help, what is my next step?
