Paul, just out of curiosity, I am wondering if you may have seen (here or elsewhere) a reference to fpocs in Halifax or any other areas near where Mason's are found, with the surname HERRINGTON or HARRINGTON. My "John the Younger" has a son (or possibly younger brother) named Herrington (sometimes Harrington) Mason. It seemed so odd that I wondered if it might have been a family surname that he was given as a first name. (The name has continued to be given in our family as "Harry".) Thanks for any input you may have on this.
