Re: Inquiry on the Color Line...Pettiford-Hornady
In Response To: Re: Inquiry on the Color Line ()

Hello Art
Thanks for what ever information you can find. I have been trying to locate when and where my greatgreat grandmother Tamar Curry Pettiford died. I know that John Milton Pettiford her husband and the father of my great grandfather was married three more times after her. Sometime during 1876 and 1879 he married Evaline Hornaday. I think that Tamer must have died while they still lived in Ohio. Anyway that is just one of the mysteries that I am trying to solve. Hope to hear from you soon.

Do you have access to it? I'm finding sooo much information on John M. Pettiford's and I don't want to be redundant and send you something you already have.

Census Records, Marriage Records, WW I registrations Records etc. For example,
John M. Pettiford marr. Evaline Hornady 14 Mar 1877 Grant, IN

Eliza Hall 15 Apr 1883 Grant, IN

Frances Dunlap 04 Sep 1891 Grant, IN

Carrie J. Smith 05 Jun 1898 Grant, IN

And this is just for Indiana. :)
