the Pettifords that went to Michigan I beleived settled in the area of Detroit, Flint, and Grand Rapids. I know that the son of my grandmothers cousin Alwill Pettiford lived in Sandwich , Onterio Canada but his children lived in Detroit and Grand Rapids. Gurney Pettiford was the brother of Alwill Pettiford. Gurney lived in Detroit.
