I am constantly looking for more connections.My Pettiford family members were free african americans in North Carolina and they migrated to the midwest in the 1850s . My branch lives in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan . I am currently looking for the descendants of Bessie Pettiford Dean the daughter of Allen and Eliza Jackson Pettiford. If anyone out there knows about her I would really like to hear from you. Bessie was married to Julius Dean the son of Jacob and Lucinda Dean. They lived in Bloomington,Illnois during the 1900-1920 and they had five children. Margaret,Lester,Gordon,Lillian and Harold and Jacob Dean. This all of the information I have if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
