Sorry, no Valentines or Keelings.
However, the personal property tax lists for Norfolk are a great resource. In 1801 there is a separate list of "free Negroes & Mulattoes" for Portsmouth and Elizabeth River Parishes which includes head of household/ names of males/ names of females/ occupation, and location. St. Brides Parish also has a separate list but includes only male tithables.
I'll publish the lists on my site next week.
Families include Archer, Aberdeen, Anderson, Africa, Ash, Bartlett, Bass, Bell, Berry, Cassidy, Collins, Corprew, Cuffy, Duncan, Dunn, Elliott, Flood, Flora, Hall, Harmon, Manley, Moses, Newton, Perkins, Pinkington, Pitt, Porter, Powell, Price, Randall, Smith, Sparrow, Turner, Watts, Weaver, Webb, White, Whitfield, Wormington, and others.
