Re: FPOC in south MS
In Response To: Re: FPOC in south MS ()

m.lee, this is what I found on your surnames so far. In 1820 Hancock Co. MS. there are no Burge, Knight, Stockstill or Varnado families. On
page 31 there is a J------ Henley a man over 45 years of age. On the same page there is a Roland Burke. Neither of these men are shown as F.P.O.C. or have F.P.O.C. in their household.

The 1830 census shows;
Jeremiah Henley age 50-60 page 181
Thomas Stockstill age 20-30 page 183
James Warden age 30-40 Page 183
Christopher Burge he is listed next to Thomas Stockstill
Washington Burge
Drury Burge all of these are on the same page.

1840 census shows;
James Warden page 237
John, Jesse,and William Wardeen all on page 233
Alexander Henley is on page 234

There are no Knight or Varnado surnames on these three census.
There are no Burge surnames on the 1840 census

None of the above named people have F.P.O.C. in the household.
I have the 1820, 1830 and 1840 Hancock County census in my home and will be happy to do lookups. If anyone is interested I can list the F.P.O.C in the county for those years and can list the households that have F.P.O.C.
