Hello. I am a descendant of Esaias Bowman Sr. b. abt.1763, he fought at the battle of Kings Mountain, he was(African American) a Free Person of Color. I am doing research on the surnames that married into the my Bowman line. These people would haved lived in and around southwest Virginia, eastern Tennessee, Western North Carolina.
