Hi L & VKN: Yes VKN, Pensacola historians will always appreciate the sterling research of Del Jupiter, a member of the Afrigeneas family! Her published work is a blue print for all genealogists. I was delighted to learn that her ancestors and mine were contemporaries. Regarding Maria Rosaria: Maria was the wife of a Pons. Her son was John Pons. Below is a listing from the Florida Historical Society: Book 4, United States District and Superior Court of West Florida, page 71, John Pons, a juryman. Deed Book 0, page 185, Maria Rosaria (free woman of color) gives slaves to her son, John Pons. I added the mention of John Pons to highlight that he along with Antonio Collins (both Free Men of Color both served as jurymen before the Civil War! Let me know if you need more information.
