I don't know if this will help you on your search but I am Cape Verdian and my father if from back east, i think it was New Bedford. Cape Verdian festivals are held annually in Boston, i think, and at these festivals Cape Verdian people from all over the country come together and celebrate thier heritage. My grandmother goes every year to see family and old friends. I hope that helps. The festival is between the months of September and October each year.
