I was way off in the other email ( i should not try to recall things without my database at hand!), anyway, Angelique is of course the mother of our illustrious Eloise Cheval Meuillon, so Angelique was the consort of JB before he married Celeste Bello, not the mother of JB. sorry for the confusion.
Does this scenario sound right?
JB bought a 15 year old Angelique from Villere Estate in 1782
Jaques was sold by Villere estate to Deslandes in 1782
Jaques Villere fmc, bought 25 year old Angelique from Meuillon in 1792 and is shown as her father on the midlo hall record.
This is a tremendous story!

Now about JB's father. In the midlo hall record, it says that:
Maria Juana and JB must serve Luis Meuillon till his death
That JB's white father was 'certainly' involved in the manumission
Reason for manumission: For service and love always.

Where does that leave our Cheval connection? Theres a good chance I am reading the records wrong or mixing up dates.
