Thank you for the kind offer of even more assistance! When you get out of the stressful rocket science and get hired by ancestry.com or start your genealogy business perhaps you can hire me as a researcher.
First question on Meuillon: do you know how Fr. Hebert's records got the name Cheval associated with Louisa Meuillon / Eloya Cheval? I want to try and get some of those documents before I ask any more questions that are answered in there. I'd also like to know if anyone has been able to find out anything about Angelique, Maria Juana or Marie Tailefer's ancestry. FWC is not descriptive enough for me anymore. Are you using ancestry.com for census records? I love those census tables and have spent tons of time with them.
My father is from St. Landry and my mother from St. Martinville. They left LA for Calif. after WW2 and never looked back, thus, I have never even been to LA. I plan to remedy that soon but I am currently working for the Army in Germany so its not easy to plan such an excursion. I should be back in the US next year and then I plan to do some serious LA library hopping.
Take care John.
Your grateful cousin,
Anne
