Re: Anderson of King William County

Mr. Heinegg, My Heartfelt thanks goes to you sir! You are truly a Godsend. So many besides myself will be blessed by your website, listing so much valuable material in different periods. I am especially impressed that this is precisely where I need to be researching at this time, as I am cross referencing several slave holders who either held or worked on their plantations with several other slave holders who " threw in together" and some of the same people appear on several plantations in the same years. When I question some of the olders descendants they say some of their ancestors were sold to other plantations ie. from the Anderson to the Jones or the Fletcher plantation and thereby took on the names of the particular plantation they were either bound out to or sold to. That led me to the next step since I know that my ancestors during the years roughly 1850 to 1860 were f.p.o.c. at least all of them that I have found so far. That leaves me to Leave my northern Alabama study, to the next step in Virginia, and the Carolinas. Thank you for facilitating my step in my journey. God Bless Kwanze
