Thanks very much Sandra, very kind of you to help. I don't know very much about the Comer family before 1880, so this is all new information. It sounds like William because the age is very close. In the 1880 census he said he was 51. Can I impose on your good nature and ask if the FPOC showed the birthplace or occupation of the older folks? In 1880 William said his father was born in VA and his mother in PA. I am very grateful for your help.
