Your interst is appreciated! Marie Tailefero, born ca 1750 a free woman of color, left New Orleans for Opelousas Post with an Italian from Naples by the name of Donato Bello and their children. Bello may have also had a white family but Marie was the mother of his free people of color family. Bello was was a soldier for the Spanish Army. I think she had 3 children, one of them was Catherine Victoire Donato Bello and they were big in the Opelousas area marrying Guillorys and other fpc in that area.
