I'm curious about how you are related to Elizabeth (Gray) Goff Howell. As you noted, she was married to Salathiel Goff, who is featured in the new book, The Four Goff Brothers of Western Virginia, which Roy Lockhart and I co-authored. I have copies of certain pages from the Townsend book, but not the whole book. A couple of years ago, Roy and I conducted an exhaustive search among a certain Howell descendants of Elizabeth in order to locate a small perfume bottle that is the focus of a story about Elizabeth and Salathiel in the Townsend book.
