Hi Sandra, I have a photo of Adam and Elizabeth and they could have passed for Native American. I did found an old map of Norwalk with the name Metrish listed on one of the houses but cant seem to find info on property deeds from that era. Also found out that Elizabeth was born in New Jersey. Trying to get more info from there. Did find a listing in the NYC city directory 1800 for an Elizabeth Peppinger as a seller of poultry. Can't seem to find anything else though. Have been knee deep in grandmother stuff so research is slow. Will hang in there!
