Hi Robert,

There is a notation in Paul Heinegg's book referring to a Shadrack Going who witnessed the will of a Stephan Wilson in 1782 (page 951).

Is the 1820 family you are referring to in Hardy county (VA/WVA)?
They seem to be listed as white - consistantly in 3 census periods - since there are no notations in the FPOC area of the page.
