Television Interview Free Persons of Color

I have a scheduled interview on KTVU-TV Channel 2, in the San Francisco Bay Area. The interview centers around my book about Free Persons of Color titled, Notes And Documents of Free Persons of Color. It will air on June 19, 2004, at 6:30 am, and the titled ob the show is, Bay Area People.

Notes And Documents traces my maternal ancestry back over four hundred years. Most of the story takes place in Colonial Virginia, where my Native, and Free Black ancestors resided. George Washington, and his family figure prominantly in my book. My ancestors, Mary and Patty Bowden were Indentured Servants on the Washington Plantation. Several of my ancestors, Charles, and Ambrose Lewis, and Rawley Pinn served in the Revolutionary War out of Virginia. There is also information about the Underground Railroad, and Civil War events covered.
