Yes, the ancestors that I have located lived in North Carolina and Virginia (there was on listed as being born in PA) and eventually relocated (for the most part) to Indiana and then onward.

I thank you for that piece of information as I was not aware of this. I am beginning to learn now about the various laws et cetera that affected FPOC in various areas. I am looking for some reading material on the subject.
