I knew about the Charles Thompson that was listed as 'student'.
I don't have an exact year of migration to Amherst, so I couldn't verify if this Charles was the right one.

My Charlie was living on campus at various times in his employment there and could have been labeled a student in error.

I was NOT aware of the 1820 Charles Thompson!
Guess I missed the obvious here... check out the city of 'alledged' birth.
