Thanks for the try. Have found a map of Norwalk from 1847 with a listing of Metrash off East Ave. near the river. No name for the street but East Ave. and the river are still there. If I get a chance to go to Norwalk old plot maps may be some help.Have found more people with same last name in Brooklyn city directory 1800's. May be a brother of my ggrandfather? Will let you know if I found any more info.
