I've looked at the FB tax lists for Loudoun - children under age of 12 are not listed. They were in a small typewritten folder in the county records office - I almost missed them - someone had typed them up from the originals. They do become a sort of census - and are quite useful for finding people lost in between census 10 year periods. Each tax district was recorded by a different tax collector - and you need to know which one covered specific towns in order to figure it out - since towns weren't listed (at least for the one I looked at)

I plan to go back and copy the entire document next trip down.
