John, I wish you all the best in finding the information you seek on slave-holding clergy. I read with great interest the info posted at the Slavery Board. I was not at all aware of the Healy family which rose to prominence in the Catholic Church by hiding their mother's ancestry. You have opened an aspect of African American history which is entirely new to me. Thank you.
