ARREST AND SENTENCE. - A negro woman, named Phillis Stuart, was
arrested by officer HICKS on Wednesday last, for send a mulatto
child to a school for white children. The Mayor sentenced her
to thirty days'solitary confinement. We understand that there
are some other cases of this character, which will soon be
looked after.
