I thank you also for sharing the article! Have you read any of the material compiled by Richard and Vicki Haithcock? I inter-library loaned a couple of his books and then found the whole collection at the library in Fort Wayne, Ind. There was some compelling info on my Virginia/North Carolina Pettiford, Day, Chavis, Stewart and Bass families.
