Nelly slave of Benjamin Graisbarry, Graisberry

Jacob Adams, free Negro married Nelly with the permission of Benjamin Graisbarry at St. Michael's and Zion Lutheran Church in Phildelphia 1781.

A Benjamin is found in several records in Newton Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey in the 1790s and a reconstructed 1800 census. He could be the son of James Graisbery - various spellings.

Does anyone know about slaves of the Graisberry, Graisbarry, Graisbary, Graisbery family. Some researchers show the family first migrating from England to Barbados and then to New Jersey.

I'm descended from a Jacob Adams Jr. b about 1781 in Maryland, his father is Jacob Sr. The Adams family landed in Greene County PA prior to 1798 when they show up in court records. Jacob Sr. could be the same Jacob Adams 1790 in Washington County Maryland with 10 Free persons in his household.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
