Re: Sophia Sellers, the daughter of Adam Sellers

Hi Sheila,

Can't remember if we have conversed in the past or not.
I am the direct line, 5th Great Grandson of Adam Sellers and have been interested in the Sophia Clemens question for quite some time. I had traded messages with Roane Smothers on and off as long as a decade ago, but we never got any further towards answering the question.

You mentioned in your message that you are a DNA match with two people that have the surname of Sellers and have looked at the tree of both, and both lead back to Adam Sellers and his father, Heinrich Sellers. Which two Sellers do you have a match with?
I have thoroughly researched and have a vast amount of information on virtually all lines descending from Heinrich Zeller, including that of my own line that descends from Adam. Some of Adam's children remained in Virginia while the others migrated to Ohio as early as 20 years prior to Adam having done so. I also have some information as to James Clemens' origins and how he and Sophia likely came together. If you could share the "two Sellers" to whom you have a DNA match, perhaps we can fill in some pieces to the puzzle.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Michael Sellers
6th Great Grandson of Heinrich Zeller
5th Great Grandson of Adam Sellers

James Clemens and Sophia Sellers, were my 3rd great grandparents and I am a DNA match with two people that have the sir-name Sellers, I have looked at the tree of both and this is the line originated with Heinrich Sellers, father of Adam Sellers. I am convinced with proof that Sophia Sellers, was the daughter of Adam Sellers. I have tested on both Ancestry.com and 23andme.
