Oops, sorry to confuse the Sellers relationship, DNA vs Genealogically.
My FTDNA Y-DNA test at the 67 marker level (66/67) markers) indicates four (4) matches with individuals who connect with the surname Seller/Zeller, one of whom lists a Henry Seller as his "most distant ancestor" who died ca 1820 in Preble County, Ohio. NO genealogical relationship has yet been established between me or any of these four (4) individuals.
Also, for the Sellers/Clemens connections in the west central Ohio and eastern Indiana areas, my maternal family lines has lived in the area from the 1820's and been associated with these surnames since at least the 1850's, but I have NO known direct genealogical connections to either surname.
Nice meeting you and please do share any information you uncover, I will do the same. BTW, do you know Doug Harger? Doug has done extensive research on these surnames and families in the Ohio/Indiana area, including Shaffer/Schafer.
Hi Art, darn, I misunderstood I guess, about you being related to the Sellers. My two DNA testing sites have my ethnicity pretty much the same also. I get DNA matches through ancestry.com all the time, with common relatives, I am waiting for that Shaffer DNA match, so I can learn more about this line, this one really bothers me, I may never find out more, I guess. Anyway, nice to meet you and if I find out any significant information on any of my Ohio, NC, or Indiana, relatives I will certainly share it.
