Did you really mean what you wrote in your January 9th post regarding the New York Times article? You said, "It certainly shoots down the myth that the majority of early colonial mulattos were the result of forced unions between slave and master." Were most mulattos during the colonial period free? Or were you referring only to free mulattos?
