Good news & bad news.

Bad News
(1)can't seem to locate a St. Marys County in the book for 1830. Was it in existence then? If not, do you know the parent county?

(2) in 1830, according to Woodson's work there were 52,938 FPOC's in Maryland. Other authors may have different figures, but is agreed there were between 50,000 and 55,000. His book lists the Head of Household only, other information: an age range, sex and number of persons in the
houshold, Location (county, township, city, ward ,etc). For Maryland, HOH numbers from page 41-67. Pages are in a 3 column format with about 70 persons per column.

Good News,

(1) There are Shorter's and many, many Green(e)
entries. If you have given (1st) names it will speed up the process. There are Mack's, but none in Maryland.

Question was....Where did I get the book? My genealogy mentor/mentress (?) who is now over 90 years of age GAVE me many of her books and resource materials she had collected in over 35 years of genealogy research when she 'retired' about 15 years ago, Woodson's book was part of her personal library.

Give me some first names and we will 'get busy' on your request.
