peaceI am trying to gain a general history, in rwgards to the presence of Oxendines in S.C, particularly Marlboro County, and or Hebron. My great grandparents were from there, but my Great grandpops classified as Negro on 1930 census, father i suspect from looking over the records i found was from Robeson N.C. Im presently trying to trace my maternal side. Im originally from B.K, N.Y so its very hard trying to find relatives that i dont even think my great grandpips knew because his father died in 1925 when he was 3. people of interest are Molly Oxendine.
In 1900 census. In household of Vander Williams, in Robeson N.C. She became Molly Wilkiams in 1900 according to marriage records. In the house hold there is a 13 yr old name Henry Oxendine, born 1887. He is of primary interest. Thete is also a Levy Blount age 14 there. Tney wete married in Saddletree. Molly , born between 1867-70, was probably married yo J.E
