Re: NY Times ARticle - Free AA's
In Response To: NY Times ARticle - Free AA's ()

Selma,

Thanks for the article. For most African Americans this is not a surprise. For example,I always wondered why Jacqui Kennedy's father was called " Black Jack." I can't ever remember an article that addressed the reason for the name.

The problem has always been that since the information was never validated by main stream America,it was believed to be "folk lore" passed on to us by our ancestors who didn't have good memories.

Of course we always knew that our ancestors had brilliant memories. They would pass the stories on but until Afrigeneas and freeafricanamericans.com came along,it was difficult for us to actually trace the names of our ancestors.

Now, thanks to Paul H., Bill Gates and all of us at Afrigeneas,we will find those last slave masters and make those connections. Not because we want to be White, but because we seek the truth, whereever it leads us.

" The truth shall set you free"

The article should be must reading for Bill O'Reilly and all his friends at Fox News. I wonder if Julie Nixon Eisenhower's family read the Times this week. :)

Take Care,

Gail

PS/ When will this world learn that we are one big family?
