Re: Is this research logical??
In Response To: Re: Is this research logical?? ()

Arlene, I looked at my files on Celeste and the newspaper article does give a place where she died but not a date. it just says that she died last week. It also stated that she is the sister of Rush Patton.

I was a little confused at first as to why you asked if I had gotten a death certificate on her. I've been only focused on finding my gggrandfather's death certificate to connect the families. If I got a death certificate on her how will that help me connect to two families?

I was also able to look through the obituary indexes and i was able to find death dates on Rush, his wife, and Rachel patton my gggrandfathers wife. I didn't see a death date on Celeste and my gggrandfather.

I beleive he might have died in Texas after the turn of the century. Also when did Texas and Alabama start giving death certificates? thats a fear of mine that he those people died before those states started issuing them.
