Re: Black Slaveowners - FPOC
In Response To: Re: Black Slaveowners - FPOC ()

K,

[They were our guys...warts and all.]

Truer words were never spoken.

FPOC, Black slaveowners had a lot to lose if they didn't uphold the tenets of the 'peculiar institution'.

The Black slaveowner's status could change overnight if he didn't maintain the status quo.

Consider: What LAWS protected the Black Slaveowner or the FPOC? Buck the trend if you dare! Who got your back?

Those of our Ancestors who were slaveowners and FPOC may have had some prized amenities, but they didn't have a free walk in the park. They had some tough choices to make along the way.

Peace
"Guided by the Ancestors"
