Hi Paul, I am trying to find information on Daniel (b. 1823) and Morning Manuel (b. 1831) of Cumberland County/Sampson County, N.C. I was told that Daniel may have been father by a prominent white Treadwell son of Sampson County. The Manuel Family property was next to the Treadwell Family. Nancy was the mother of Daniel. I came up as a 5th cousin, listing Daniel and Morning as the most Distant relative. My great great grandmother was Nancy Jane Manuel, but I think she was named after an older Manuel relative.
