I ordered Order Book no. 28 for Albemarle County on interlibrary loan and found the following:
page 4, 7th January 1828, Henderson Going a man of Colour aged thirty years, 6 feet 1-3/4 inches high of light Complexion...
Michael Going a man of Colour aged 23 years, 5 feet 11-1/2 inches high of light Complexion...
Reuben Ailstock a man of Colur...aged 22 years, 5 feet 6-1/2 inches high of dark complexion.

page 69, 4th March 1828, John Going a Man of Colour...aged twenty five years, 5 feet 9-5/8 inches high of light Complexion.
William Going a man of Colour aged thirty years, 5 feet 9 inches high, light Complexion.
Fountaine Going, aged 27 years 6 feet 3-1/4 inches high of light Complexion
Thomas Going aged 23 years, 6 feet 3/4 inches high of light Complexion.

Fountaine is the tallest man I've seen a registration for.
