I somehow missed this post (I believe it used to be that any new response went to the top?).

Just for the record the actual name of the BASS that married Guinevere E. BROWN and Mabel LAMB is Ira Desoto BASS. His father was NOT Desoto BASS. Desoto Elbert BASS was his Uncle.

Actually, Ira Desoto and Mabel LAMB BASS lived in Desoto E. BASS Courts (Public Housing Complex) (named for his uncle) in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.

Desoto Elbert BASS was a well known minister in Dayton, Ohio, but he never pastored "the little church" "still at the Cross Road there in Long". His (Desoto Elbert BASS') brother James Edward BASS was the well known, long time pastor of that assembly. It is this BASS (James Edward) who is the father of Ira Desoto BASS.

And just for accuracy there was at one time two (2) church buildings at the cross road in Long, Darke County, Ohio standing directly across from one another.

I have Mabel LAMB related to you (Lori Anne SWANEY) at least fourteen (14) ways but I can't seem to come up with a 2nd Cousin twice removed relationship.
