Chase Family Freedmen

Samuel Thomas Chase was born in December of 1825 in Annapolis, Maryland on Chase-Llyod House whether he was born free is unknown and if he was really born in Annapolis is unknown but main assumptions in my family state this very light skin child was the son of his slave master who freed his family around the time of his death. After he was emancipated he left for Baltimore and met a woman named Priscilla (Her status is unknown) they married around 1845 in Baltimore and had 13 children one of those children was David Chase who was born in 1848, and had been making trips to Prince George's County Maryland and ended up buying land there, David is my 3rd great grandfather, David while in Maryland started a affair with a African woman who was a former slave named Millie Brown the former property of the Marshall Family of Marshall Hall in Piscataway. David found Millie was pregnant and left for Baltimore, meanwhile Millie had a son Thomas Brown (Millie and David weren't married) and wrote to David about the news he joyfully came back to Piscataway and made it his permanent home and on July 5, 1872 they married and Thomas their son became Thomas P. Chase, The couple had 12 more children one was my great-great-grandfather Charles, I'll write more about him next thread.
