In Free African Americans in Virginia...Delaware it says that, "On 12 February 1776 she (Agnes of Louisa) complained to the court about the treatment her son Sherod was receiving from his master William Phillips." Is this the same Sherrod who served during the American Revolution?

Secondly, is it fair to say that Sherrod's (the one listed under Agnes) brothers and sisters are/were Moses, Joseph, Benjamin, Joshua, Elizabeth, Archibald, Milly and Usly?

I am trying to figure out--step by step--who might be the parent(s) of Michael who I believe was born in Albemarle County say 1805. He removed to Ohio as his marriage took place 17 May, 1835 to Verlinda Payne in Belmont County. He appears in the 1840 Guernsey County, Ohio census under Michael Going.
