Now, I'll have to figure out who 'my' William Carr married, and see how far he is from that part of Tx. My 2Xgreatgrandfather used to travel to TX (Austin, I believe)in the 1850s to see his sister, riding a horse, but he was a Graham--Clara's husband. It can't have been THAT difficult! A letter describing his visit was passed down in the family, and a cousin gave me a copy last year.
