You may be interested in the Afrigeneas Carribean Research forum. There is at least one thread there in which posters are discussing Puerto Rican ancestors and they even give a google search term to aid in the search of the names of African slaves that were taken to the island. The discussions there may be helpful in your research to confirm your oral history and to search your ancestors from La Isla de Boricua. Happy hunting!
