I actually live in PG county Maryland and do know some Proctors in this county. I saw a play on slavery at the public playhouse this February and at the end of the play some of the researchers mentioned the Proctors and a few other surnames. They stated they had done a lot of research on them and that they also had Native American ancestry and to contact them if you wanted info. The group who put on the play was out of Annapolis MD. I think it was the Historic Annapolis Foundation.
