I certainly believe oral history does matter !!

It is precisely because of the oral history passed down thru the generations that I have found documentation for the family history and genealogy of my ancestors ... and the communities in which they lived.

In my humble opinion, oral history is the foundation for seeking documentation of family history and genealogical endeavors.

Arlene, I'm honored that you would refer to a previous thread here on AfriGeneas as an example of my useage of oral history in the search for documentation to verify my oral history.
