I may have missed something, but I have never read anything in which Paul Heinegg or the usual posters on this site were encouraging the dismissal of oral history as it relates to the origins of ancestors. I have seen the encouragement of individuals to authenticate any oral history, which it appears you have done. The best to you in your future research.
