Hi, I am also searching the free negro registers for my ancestors the Reeves of Port Royal Caroline County. Two of the sisters married Fortunes. Thomas Fortune married Betsy Reeves and Humphrey Fortune married Ellen Reeves. I find the Fortune's in Essex county, looks like an older Humphrey Fortune. But I found a site for Fredericksburg which lists other people in surrounding counties including my GRGRGrandfather Ryland Reeves. This is the site,
