Perhaps I missed it, but what does the PAR # represent?

Oh, before I forget it, let me thank you for these postings, good work!!!

The posting's for Bedford County, VA really caught my eye, especially the time periods. I have Allen ancestors who left Bedford County in the 1830's and settled in Ross County, OH, showing up in the 1840 Census records and also marriage records between 1840 & 1850 for Ross County.

I have no idea how and/or why the left VA, or even if they were slaves of someone named Allen. These emancipations and subsequent departures from Bedford County during the 1830's has given me something to think about. Another door opens
