Hi Art, have you ran across any information on Abram Rickman who was married to Telitha Elam, they lived in Darke County, they came from Tennessee originally. I find Telitha Elam-Rickman with her mother Phylis Elam on the 1850 census in Warren Co. Tennessee along with her children last name Rickman. The daughter of Abe/Abram Rickman, and Telitha Elam, Cora Rickman, was my grandfathers mother. I cannot find Abe/Abram Rickman anywhere, not on the census records, not on cemetery records, military records. Telitha is alone in Darke Co. Ohio, again alone, a widow in Darke co. Ohio, what could have happened to him, there are no, earlier census records that I can find them on together. They had to be together for sometime because they had children together. This is a mystery to me, do you have any idea of what could have happened to him. On Cora Rickman-Shaffer's death certificate, her husband, William Shaffer, my gr grandfather has her father as Abe Rickman, he has the name shortened, that is probably what he called him. I see that he is mentioned on his son's death certificate as Abram Rickman. Do you have any thoughts on not finding him anywhere? Sheila
