Re: Connecting FPOC Families in Ohio History

Hello Gerald,

Yes, I'm finding connections to folks who came into Ohio from VA and settled originally in the Ross/Pike/Gallia county area and in later years migrating north and west into the Champaign, Clark & Miami county area. Perhaps we have some collateral/extended family connections.

Just received my confirmed registration to the OGS Conference in Columbus, Ohio 31 Mar-2 Apr 2011. The increased AA participation for the conference this year has great promise for some 'serious' networking. Among the featured speakers this year are Deborah Abbott, PhD, Shamele Jordon and Tim Pinnick, all of whom are lecturers at the summer IGHR Institute held at Samford Univ. in Birmingham, AL. And the Friday night AA Roundtable Panel discussion is a bonus.

I too find what you say very interesting and I have recently been in pursuit of several of my distant families of this very region in southern Ohio in the pre-war period: Ross and Pike Counties. Conference???"
