Free Manleys of North Carolina
In Response To: Re: Free Manleys of North Carolina ()
Actually, there were three free colored Manleys who fought in the revolution; Littleton, Moses and William. They were from Northampton County, North Carolina. One of them applied for a pension, and I thought I had a copy of the file, but I was mistaken. However, there is a Revolutionary War site which does have a copy of that file. It may be on the FamilySearch website. As I recall, it did not have a lot of information. I'll keep trying to find it for you. |
